ACROYOGA
PLAY,
TRUST + CONNECT
If we take a literal translation
of Yoga as Union, in AcroYoga, by working directly with other
people we find a real opportunity to unite, to create a supportive
community within which our practice, play and lives can flourish.

----------------------------------------
Safety ----------------------------------------
During an AcroYoga class safety is paramount. There
are always spotters available helping you become familiar with
the unfamiliar! Spotters are there to give physical support and
guidance, allowing you to discover your edge safely. These are
skills you will learn during class, enabling you to play safely
on your own too.

You will be amazed at what you are able to do after
just a few classes. This safe and fun environment will push your
limits to new horizons. |
----------------------------------------
Inversions ----------------------------------------
In AcroYoga, we give inversions the special attention
they deserve. This is for several reasons, not only are they fun
and give you a fresh perspective on things, but they also require
and more importantly, help develop a stronger core.

While you can blunder on through many yoga classes
without really developing this vital strength, doing inversions
will quickly make you fighting (or more accurately, playing) fit! |
----------------------------------------
Partner Stretching ----------------------------------------
There are many benefits to working with partners.
Some of the immidiate benefits are connecting with people and
discovering deeper stretches than we could on our own!

|
----------------------------------------
Flying ----------------------------------------
Taking our yoga into the air brings about one huge
issue for many of us! This issue is Trust. Borrowing
somebody elses legs (the Base) to stand, sit or play on requires
us to relinquish control and put our safety in their hands and
feet (and the spotters!).

Many people say "Oh I used to do that sort
of thing with my dad when I was a kid"
I say "Isn't it incredible the way children can
trust, and wouldn't it be amazing to reconnect with that level
of trust again?"

----------------------------------------
Leg Love ----------------------------------------
In appreciation of giving your legs a rest while
being supported by someone else's, you will also learn some Thai
Yoga Massage techniques enabling you to lavish metta, or loving
kindness on your Base.

So, as well as having a great work out - cleverly
disguised as lots of fun, you also get a free massage to boot!
